Help improve the sun predictions

At the pool deck? A quick note about where shade starts or clears helps improve the predictions.

One sentence is plenty: “Northeast corner starting to be shaded by Bayside,” “50% in shadow,” or “Pool mostly covered.” Times are local to San Diego.

About the model
Refine the map with measurements

The marked rectangle establishes the area we’re predicting. These measurements would help align the shadow edges:

  1. Deck width east to west and length north to south.
  2. Amenity-wing roof height above the deck, and the gap to its west wall.
  3. Gap from the north deck edge to Savina’s nearest tower face; amenity eave projection and its inner/outer heights above the deck.
  4. On a clear day: date, time, and where a building’s shadow edge crosses the deck or pool.

Feet or meters are both fine. Measured furniture area: 63′1″ east–west × 88′7″ north–south, 36′9″ above street level. Measured gap to the amenity-wing wall: 29′10″. Roof and eave geometry and other building gaps remain provisional. No need to access roofs—plan dimensions or safely measured distances are enough.

Model assumptions & building sources

The modeled pool deck is the rectangular furniture area, rather than the entire amenity deck. Its measured dimensions are 63′1″ east–west × 88′7″ north–south (19.2278 × 27.0002 m), and its measured elevation is 36′9″ (11.2014 m) above street level. Its geographic placement and building registration remain approximate; pool and furniture positions are traced proportionally from your screenshot. Shadows are projected from building shapes onto this measured deck elevation. The model samples 96 deck points for the sunlight percentage.

Four estimated 3 × 3 m cabana roofs are drawn along the south edge for orientation; their own shade is not included yet. The amenity wing’s long sloping eave is awaiting measurements and is not included yet. Trees, umbrellas, clouds and smaller buildings aren’t modeled. Treo’s individual steps remain estimated.
